The Highclare Estate Wine Room, our cellar door, is a place to slow down, taste beautifully crafted Tasmanian wines, and enjoy a moment away from the rush.

Drop in for a guided tasting, a glass before or after dinner or a show, or simply choose a bottle to take home. Our team shares the stories behind each vintage, with a relaxed, welcoming style that makes everyone feel at ease.

Located on the corner of Tamar and Cameron Streets, directly opposite the Launceston City Park gates and entry to the Albert Hall, we’re open every day from midday and are perfectly placed for a pre-dinner or pre-show drink.

No bookings needed, just wander in, settle in, and enjoy the mood.

We also stayed in their fabulous Airbnb — spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. Matt and Sarah are wonderful hosts, warm and welcoming, and made our stay extra special. Highly recommended 🍷

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Visited the Wine Room with my husband for a tasting and a bite to eat. Matt was a great host - friendly and informative. The wines were delicious and the nibbles were very tasty. Conveniently located across the road from the City Park. We recommend you drop in!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Highclare after spending some time in City Park. Curious about the new wine room, I wandered over with a couple of friends and was warmly greeted by a friendly, knowledgeable gentleman who helped us choose a bottle of bubbles along with a delicious cheese, meat and biscuit pack. As it was such a magnificent day, we opted for takeaway so we could enjoy everything in City Park. They had truly thought of everything — plastic glasses, knives and serviettes were all included — making the experience effortless and delightful. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend Highclare to anyone looking for a beautiful wine experience.
